Trustee - Health and Care (Voluntary Role)

11 February 2026
Christadelphian Care Homes is seeking an individual with vision, dedication, and experience in care or health to join us as a Trustee. This is a voluntary role and a meaningful opportunity to contribute to the strategic leadership and governance of Christadelphian Care Homes, grounded firmly in Christadelphian values. Trustees work together to ensure the organisation continues to provide loving, individualised care through thoughtful oversight and shared responsibility.

The ideal candidate will be an active member of a Christadelphian ecclesia, with a clear understanding of good governance and a genuine passion for the mission of Christadelphian Care Homes. Experience within the care or health sector is essential, particularly at a management or leadership level. Trustees are expected to devote time and energy to the role, averaging around five hours per month, and to work collaboratively as part of a committed trustee team.

As a Trustee, you will carry statutory responsibilities, including ensuring the organisation operates for the public benefit, complies with its governing document and relevant law, and manages its resources responsibly. Trustees must act in the best interests of Christadelphian Care Homes, exercise reasonable care and skill, and ensure accountability at all levels.

Applicants should have a good understanding of safeguarding requirements for adults at risk, familiarity with CQC regulations and inspections, and knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation. Additional desirable experience includes employment law or HR best practice, previous service on a governance board, or personal experience as a family member of a resident. Above all, we are looking for someone committed to the values and principles of Christadelphian Care Homes and the wellbeing of those it serves.
