The Kingsleigh House Well-being team based in Kings Norton is looking to recruit a highly enthusiastic, motivated and creative Activities and Well-being Assistant on a part time basis, working 20 hours a week. Together you will work as a team to create an environment that is focused on caring for the physical, emotional and mental well-being for the residents across the site by providing therapeutic, stimulating and engaging activities. You’ll help to deliver activities and arrange events across a broad range of interests and you’ll develop meaningful interpersonal relationships with each resident.
To be successful in this role you’ll need the following skills and experiences:
- Highly organised with the ability to work independently and use your initiative.
- Creative, imaginative and a caring nature, enthusiastic with a positive outlook that is infectious!
- Be a team player with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Be kind and have a real genuine passion for working with older people and having an acute awareness of their needs, ensuring everyone is treated with the respect and dignity they deserve.
Basic computer skills would be advantageous as would a musical ability
This is a vital role in that the successful candidate will become more than a Well-being Assistant, but also represent a family member, a carer and a friend!
This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check and weekend availability is required.
