Wellbeing Assistant - Eden House, Coventry

Christadelphian Care Homes exists mainly, although not exclusively, to care for members of the Christadelphian Faith. We operate a number of Care Homes and Sheltered Housing schemes throughout the UK and are able to deliver care tailored to individual needs from low support through to residential, nursing and specialised care, including dementia. We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and creative Wellbeing Assistant to join our dedicated team at Eden House, Coventry, on a full time or part time basis (hours can be discussed). Please note that this role requires working days, evenings and weekends. You will work as part of a team to create an environment that is focused on caring for the physical, emotional and mental well-being for our residents within the home by providing therapeutic, stimulating and engaging activities. You’ll help to deliver activities and arrange events across a broad range of interests and you’ll develop meaningful interpersonal relationships with each resident. This role involves supporting residents living with dementia.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan, organise, and deliver a variety of activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities.

- Create a welcoming and stimulating environment that promotes wellbeing.

- Encourage resident participation in both group and one-to-one activities.

- Work closely with colleagues, residents, and their families to ensure activities meet individual needs.

- Assist in organising special events, outings, and entertainment.

- Build meaningful relationships with residents, offering companionship and emotional support.

- Maintain accurate records of activities and resident participation.

Person Specification:

- Highly organised with the ability to work independently and show initiative.

- A creative and imaginative approach, with an infectious positive outlook.

- Strong team player with excellent communication skills at all levels.

- A genuine passion for working with older people, with an acute awareness of their needs, ensuring dignity and respect.
